When to use Aptamil® Gold De-Lact
Aptamil® Gold De-Lact is an all ages lactose free infant formula developed for infants with lactose intolerance and requiring a partial or complete breast milk substitute
- Lactose intolerance most commonly occurs in babies following periods of gastrointestinal illness and can persist for some weeks following the illness. During this time your baby may need to reduce their exposure to lactose or avoid lactose altogether
- Most cases of lactose intolerance in infants are temporary and a normal feeding routine can recommence once your baby has recovered. For formula-fed infants a product from the Aptamil® Gold+ range can be introduced
- Some infants may require a long term lactose free feeding routine, and it is important that you consult your healthcare professional for advice before changing formula
- Aptamil® Gold De-Lact is not suitable for babies with confirmed cows’ milk protein allergy
- Aptamil® Gold De-Lact is not suitable for general use and should only be used under medical supervision
